    How to check for clean ESN??

    I'm looking to buy a new phone for my girlfriend that uses Verizon.

    I was wondering if there was any way I can call or use a website to check a phone ESN before I buy it. I just want to make sure the phone I am buying is not stolen and can be activated on the Verizon network without any problems.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated, TIA!!

    Get the seller to provide you with the ESN and call customer service.

    Make sure to check the ESN again, before you buy it! Meaning you have to physically check the number, and call VZW customer service.
