Anyway they will put on the $10 retentions value pack so I can get VM and CID and then apply a $10 data plan credit which was going to cover a credit I was going to lose.
So end bill will be for $50 voice plan and $40 3Gb data plan. I guess there isn't a way around making CID work without the feature?
I remember a couple of my old Palm phones used to be able to match names to numbers in my phone book without CID. Silly that an iPhone can't do the same.
Call Display with Name display with show the name. If it is in your address book, it will show that name, if not it will show the name included in the CiD tags. iPhone OS 3.0 had a problem with carrier provide Name Display (I think because AT&T does not offer Name Display, so when the 3G came out as the first iPhone for other carriers, it didn't include it properly). All modern Rogers add-on, plans and options that have CiD will be Call Display with Name Display. Older versions (I think you can still specifically request just Call Display, but it is the same price) were just the phone number. If you do happen to add on just Call Display, the iPhone will show the name if it is in your address book.
Remember, if you have plain VM added to your plan, CCF might not work properly. If you have VVM added, it will apparently work.
