New Rogers UNLIMITED Minutes Plan - $70 (retentions)
Havn't seen this posted on the forums yet, so just wanted to give a heads up.
Long story short, I gave one of my retention lines to my dad to use since he cancelled his CityFido after multiple billing issues, and at the time the biggest plan rogers had was a $60 2000 minute/ Unltd Incoming / Unltd R2R / Eve&Weekends@6pm thinking that should be a substantial alternative....
So this month's bill arrives, and he talked 3300 minutes over his 2000 included, for around $490 in overages ()...so I called into retentions, and they said that they couldn't retroactively credit anything (obv), but that there was a new $70 plan which offered UNLIMITED calling to numbers on any network/landlines 24/7 per month. I'll try to find out the SOC so others can ask for it, but I was told by the rep that this was a retention deal to compete with the 'other' unlimited companies....its about time!
Is that only unlimited R2R? There appears to be free incoming included. So if it is unlimited everything, they shouldn't need free incoming. Is messaging included?
But under the discounts, they listed R2R 3-yr bonus. Seems redundant unless R2R is unlimited even for long distance.
looks like the Rogers to Rogers and Incoming Calling credits were from a previous call as they were probably added April 22, 2010.
the 3 year monthly plan credit and voicemail discount were added during the most recent call on May 7, 2010.

that is my guess.
Yes those credits were from a previous plan...the rep on the phone said that they would be removed since they were no longer necessary...but yet they remain. Figured its not worth a call back to retentions, and just leave it be.
Fo just unlimited "local" calls, thats way too much, unless u're running a business on the go.................without actually being in an office and not having a business LAN line. Thats insane...... My opinion only.
I got the same unlimited calling for 50$. So i dont think that they have any specific price in mind as it depends on account to account
Well $50 sounds just about rite. $70 is way too much compared to what Fido was offering for $80, and that plan included 6GB of data. I believe the voiceplan by itself was $50. This makes more sense.
I was offered the same thing last week with a $5 credit which wud come to $45, but since I don't really need unlimited local, I didn't even consider getting it. My plan costs me $35, then why the hell wud I want to pay $45 for something I don't need.
