You are correct - no LD charges for calls placed or received since you have unlim LD.

    Renegotiated my plan!!!

    Before:
    $50 - Plan
    $30 - 6GB
    $8 - Call Display w/ $8 Feature Credit
    $8 - Enhanced Voicemail w/ $10 MSF Credit

    Total was $78+GRRF+TAX.

    Now:
    $50 - Plan
    $45 - 1GB BES Data
$12 - Value Pack (now I have spinvox and name display)
$10 Data Credit for 3 Years
$10 MSF Credit for 3 Years

    Total: $87+GRRF+TAX.

Basically, I now save another $6 in month ($4 decrease in Wireless Essentials cost and $2 increase in reoccurring credits), but have increased my data costs. But now, my credits won't drop off the account.

Ok, I have searched this thread and have had some, but minimal results. Way back in the thread there was talk whether or not picture/video messaging was included in the $50 ul/na plan.
Does anybody else have any more info about this. My account states that I have unlimited picture/video messaging (and I don't have an attached vp that would give me this). Has anybody used mms and have they been charged under this plan?
    Thanks in advance.

Hey all ... has anyone heard of any new deals with the BB Torch? My plan expires in 1 year (have the BB Bold 9000) and this is my current contract:
    - 250 daytime, unlimited evenings/weekends = $20
    - 10,000 txt, mms, video msgs and unlimited incoming txt included
    - detailed billing, call display included
    - 500MB BB Data Value Pack = $30
    - 6PM early evening = $5
    - R2R = $5
    - 3yr bonus credit = -$5
    - 100 LD free
    - SAF & 911 = $7.70
    - GST = $3.29
    TOTAL = $65.99

I'm really getting tired of this phone (it's been almost 2yrs with it now) and the new 5.0.0.822 O/S is super buggy (or I have to put up with the mem leaks of the old O/S - erg!).

The website has the Torch listed at $199 with 3yr contract. Back when I got my Bold it was on for $99 (it was a super deal).

    Anyone bought the Torch yet?

Should I wait a bit longer (like next year) to get it with even more discounts? I'm really itching to get the new phone ...

the Rogers Office of the President has a direct line. Ask someone who has contacted them previously for the number.

yes you need to call 611, and legitimately ask to cancel your service to get transferred. Rogers is fedup with users posting this number all over the interwebz.

    never mind with them

first, call 611, speak to anyone. and ask for a decent plan, according to what other people got. then if they dont reply, ask for the team leader, and get his or her name.

    then, click here
    http://www.rogers.com/web/content/contactus
then choose 'complaint' then click 'step3'. and fill out the form. that department will help you.

Congrats, WorldIRC. So what strategy did you use this time, did you find the fact that your last attempt wasn't successful impair your attempt this time? I wonder if resistant agents leave damning notes on your account once you encounter one.

It appears the retention number 1-866-304-4248 has been discontinued - anyone know if there is another number direct to retentions?

I've already stated instructions. Call 611, request cancellation like you are supposed to, and you will get a CR rep.
