You'd have to ask to see if they can give you a credit off of the data plan. You're more likely to get $10 than $15.

Both of these are NOT AVAILABLE any more.
    $35.00 ultd local is gone
and $50.00 ultd North America plan has been i think converted to $45.00 canada wide only with a north America add-on at extra cost

Anyone know of a retentions plan with UL ND LD?

I was hoping to get the $50 UL NA Talk and Text plan, but it's expired. I called retentions and the best they could do was offer me a $30 plan for US minutes. No thanks!!!!

    $35 & $50 plans are gone.

New plan = $45 for unlimited local calls + unlimited sms to canada and us.

Addons: $5 for unlimited CAD LD, $5 for unlimited US LD. As with the old plans, you should be able to get vm + cd for free. (So it's equivalent to $35 + $10 ret vp, but with unlimited sms.)

Basically, price is now $5 higher for those who want LD to the US as well as Canada.

^is that a Retentions plan? Seems identical to a fido retail plan worldirc leaked last week.

Actually the fido retail plan sounds a lot better:
    $45
    Unlimited local calling, non-zoned
    Unlimited International SMS
Unlimited BBM (works on grey market BlackBerry's)
    Call Display

The long distance addons seem cheaper in the Rogers Retentions plan.
Unlocked Pentaband iPhone 5 (AWS), unlocked iPhone 4
Unlimited airtime, Unlimited CAN/US long distance, Unlimited SMS to CAN/US wireless numbers
2500 Call Forwarding minutes to CAN/US numbers
    CiD, 6GB
Google Voice for visual voice mail with message transcription, conditional greetings, unlimited messages (vs 35 message cap), remote retrieval from any PC or phone, no auto-purge after 10 days and most importantly no $7-$8 charge.
    $53

Yup, Retention plan. So Fido retentions may have other options to offer, since afaik that Fido plan you just quoted is in-market. Fido's the discount brand so generally I'd expect their pricing to be cheaper.

I was informed that LD addon for CDN is $10.00 + another $10.00 for US LD are they giving $5.00 credit each now ????

Lol...that's never been the case. Fido's brand image was changed to appear as a "value brand". In reality bills are somewhat the same as sister carrier Rogers. Just like Virgin is generally equal to Bell. It's all marketing. Other than the GRRF, the biggest difference is which logo is stamped on the phones.
Phone 1: FIDO $56 unlimited Smart plan (LTE MAX)
Phone 2: WIND $40 unlimited Wish plan (HSPA+)
Laptop: WIND $15 AITF unlimited data (HSPA+)

There are $5 credits available, yes, but you'll have to ask for them. So ymmv, as usual...

Justin: Ahh, but Fido has City Fido and that's an in-market offering, right? I'd be highly surprised to see Rogers advertising that $45 plan listed up there by Ceredon on TV. :P

Sure, first time in almost a decade. I didn't say there weren't some differences, but boy it took a LOT for Rogers to allow Fido to do this now.
