There is another way to install applications (.apk files) via the SD card.
1. Connect the i1 phone to your computer.
2. Be sure the phone is in USB mode "Memory Card": Settings -> USB -> Memory Card
3. Copy the .apk file into the "apps" folder.
4. Disconnect from your computer.
5. Run the Setup wizard (found in your applications tray).
6. The Setup wizard has a step to install applications.
You should be able to install any .apk this way.
Anyone Else's youtube video's a little choppy?
Is there an original source for the package? I don't trust anything from rapidshare.
When you hook up an Android phone to a PC it shows up as a removable disk which is the SD card. Drop the .apk anywhere on that disk, root will make it easy to find. Then follow the OP's instructions.
