Shortcut or app to SMS a specific message to a specific person quickly?
I am a fairly recent convert to the Nokia 5230 and S60 v5. Perviously I used a 6263 flip running S40. One thing I found very handy on my old flip was I could set up a canned messages and then when I wanted to send a SMS to a specific person with that message, through various shortcuts I could fairly easily initiate an SMS attach the canned response and send it with maybe a half dozen or slightly more key presses almost totally without looking (great when driving).
With the 5230 with its tough screen and with what I think are harder to get to messaging options makes it impossible to quickly (one handed) pick up the phone and send a canned message to someone.
So my question is if anyone knows of a way to setup a shortcut of some sort on the phone to text a specifically person a specific message with minimal operation? Either with the built in S60 functionality or with an app I could use?
I did look at some SMS apps in the Ovi store but the ones that might do it are paid, which is fine, but some are rather pricey at closer to $10 rather than a couple/few bucks, and I don't know for sure if they will do what I want. Any experience with any of them, especially SpeedDial+ ($9.99) which hints that it might be powerful enough to this, but I am not sure.
Quick follow up. I found the web site for the SpeedDial+ application and they do have a trial version (why isn't this available in the Ovi store?).
I just tried it out and it only gets me half way there. You can set up a speed dial number to start the SMS application with the recipient already filled in, but that is where it stops. I would still have to go to the options -> Insert -> Template -> Pick template -> then send. All kind of hard to do one handed with a big thumb on a little touch screen, especially while driving.
So having a speed dial number to automatically start a text to a specific person is nice, but not really worth $10 and I still can not do what I want.
