What can I do for proof of warranty? I am very interested in buying the vibrant off eBay, but the phone does not come with original box and no receipt. Seller claims it's new but he probably played with it.

If anybody wants the vibrant before anyone else, here's your chance:

It seems that $550 is a steal, considering one recently went for $590:

It's coming out Thursday, no point in wasting $50 when it'll be $500 on ThursdayI dunno though, still on the fence with this one... Can we trust really trust that Samsung will update it to Froyo?
I have to pay $40 to take the Greyhound bus down to some city call Bellingham. You won't be able to buy the phone for whatever price T-Mobile is selling for unless you go down to the States. I have no car. People selling on eBay and cell phone websites will always be more expensive.
The thing is the only phone that is guaranteed to be regularly updated is the nexus one. All other phones are a crap shoot at best. Although, Samsung did promise that all galaxy s phones will be updated to Froyo, but even if they follow through, then you have gingerbread to sweat for. So if the android updates are a make-it-or-break-it for you, then it's best to get a nexus one.
Yep, I was going to offer to get one for you, because I'm going to nyc on the weekend of the 31st, but then I realized you're in Vancouver.. Would be more inconvenient that way.
Yeah, I'm assuming the seller got it as a demo or it could even be stolen? who knows? But anyways, some ebay sellers even unlock the phone for you, so you don't have to pay extra to unlock it..
I'm not sure if anybody brought this up yet, but do you guys REALLY want Samsung-quality reception on Wind's network? A weak handset and a weak network isn't really a good combo... Though it would be nice if the Galaxy S reversed Samsung's tradition of releasing phones with poor RF performance. After my experience with the Gravity 2, I don't think I'll make the same mistake again...
The Galaxy S is supposed to have been improved as far as reception goes.

It could be fluffed a bit, and I'll be the first to say whether or not it's true. I have a few places I frequent that will show a phones true ability to grab and hold on to a weak signal.
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage
Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.
T-Mobile USA. “This year, we’re stepping on the gas again. We are making continued coverage improvements and launching an advanced LTE network
hmm that sounds promising! Hopefully it's true.. That would make it a much better deal than the Moto XT720. Looking forward to your results![]()
yeah dude, comparing the galaxy s to the gravity 2 is like comparing a bmw 7 series to a 3 series. not really comparable.. but check out gsmarena once they do a review of the vibrant. they usually test for reception and audio quality. so far the only blemish i've heard of regarding either is that the loudspeaker's not that loud. but reception and handset audio quality is supposed to be top notch
I am interested in this phone but a friend told me that tmobile doesnt sell phones unless you go on a montly plan or contract. Is this true?
there's a high chance they might sell it to you without being a T-Mobile subscriber. If they dont, then just buy a prepaid sim card from another store or online. Then go into T-mobile and tell them you're on prepaid, if they ask do you have a T-mobile account. When you pay for the phone they might ask for your sim card, just show it to them but say you really gotta go and you're put the sim in yourself.
I know Telus was being an *** when I tried to buy the HTC Hero outright for $499. They told me the phone would be like $600 something since I'm not a Telus subscriber. I walked over to Futureshop and they had no problem selling me the phone for $499.
Would it be easier to purchase it at a best buy? or do they have the same policies as a tmobile store
