It must be the battery, and so I have already ordered for a new replacement. However, I may have found a way to compensate for this defective battery, i.e. undervolting. I will not say anything more about it until I'm sure this time.
Oh, I have high praises for this phone. This is an android, and cannot even imagine using an iphone 4. Liquid E is one of the most highly customizable android, with custom kernels, roms, themes, undervolting, overclocking. I have went through a lot of them and can't get enough. Look at Modaco.com if anyone is interested. It is a personal computer in itself with a phone, where you can personalized it, and not be generic like iphones.
BTW, i bought my battery from betteryupgrade.com. There should be cheaper places to buy it from.
And also I have unlocked my liquid e for $15 from mobile express canada in e-bay.

I bought an Acer Liquid E, I'm a fan of Acer products, I never had problems, but if the Acer Liquid E, Rogers bought it, but after spending days on the phone and discuss and so and so, decided rogers do an update and gave me the opportunity to acquire another.
Long story short, the Acer gave it to a friend in another country, I got a way to unlock it and root and now it works like a charm, let them leave the link where you unlock, is in Toronto Canada and we charged only $ 5 . Nothing but problems with mind. All of the battery/heat issue, random shutdowns (and I mean MANY MANY random shutdowns, and the mic doesnt work AT ALL 90% of the time unless I squeeze the phone just right, and even then it produces terrible, crackly sound.
Terrible quality. Needs to be sent in for warranty repair. What a joke.
