    Angry How long does it normally take for iPhone 4 to activate?

    I went to my local AT&T this morning and left with a shiny new iPhone 4, but I still am not getting signal hour and a half later. The salesman said it may take a 'while' but how long is this supposed to take?

    Try to turn phone off then on worked for me last week. If not call AT&T.

    When I activated mine on iTunes it told me it "may take a while". I then activated my wife's and it happened right away, so I turned mine off and on again and it activated straight away. So try power cycling?

    iTunes activates your new sim card. You just have to wait for the OTA programming to be complete. My activation happened right away on the 23rd. On the 24th, my friend's took all night. Finally activated the next morning.
    If you commonly type the name iPhone as "Iphone" or "I-Phone"... or if you commonly refer to an iPod Touch as an "iTouch" or "I-Touch"...... Then you deserve whole bottle of habanero hot sauce poured into your eyes!

    Yep...I kept tuning mine off and on and it finally activated. It's just a little slow this morning...kind of nice not to have my wife nagging me
