Something not in direct response to Rogers or Bell.
But on the plus side, I knocked over the SunSphere.

Telus doesn't feel the need to wait for competitors to lead the industry to higher costs.
    Clearnet Digital PCS

We think everyone should be able to afford a wireless phone. That's why we were the first wireless company in North America to offer pay-by-the-second airtime, and why we don't charge an activation fee. NO scary contract to sign. Immediate national coverage. And a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Yes, it's finally time to get a wireless phone.

Wow this is pathetic. Why not a lower cost if you go paperless instead?

Plus, this really just screws old people and the non tech savvy.

I'm not against them trying to get rid of paper billing, because it simply wastes paper.

However Telus could have done the right thing and given people some sort of meaningful incentive to switch to paperless billing like Rogers did (I believe they gave people extra minutes?).

Instead, Telus decided to be Telus and just extort their customers into it.

I think Telus was running a whole bunch of promos over the past year or so trying to get people to switch to e-billing. Obviously, people didn't switch over. Now, they're trying this method.

This is a good move IMO, majority of people who receive invoices these days don't even look at them. It's just a waste of trees.

the future is scaring me with the little money I earn...
as richc3 mentioned, they should've just lowered the cost for those who aren't using paper or give more monitues...

Nope. There was never any actual incentive. I think the most they ever offered was to plant a tree if you switched to paperless.

If you switch to paperless, you're entered for a chance to win $1000.

Telus Proves their becoming the worst provider out there yet again. Instead or rewarding clients for going paper free, like offering a feature or a small discount. They decide in their divine wisdom to increase cost to punish clients.

Way to go Telus, way to go

I have 1 Account on Paper Less. I still Print my invoice and use my Paper and ink. I still save the paper as the Paperless only saves it for 18 months or something like that. I needed an older one and they said they dont keep it. So i switched back to Paper.

Make their System better store longer and i will move to Paperless.

I don't think its gona get any better, they already give you 18 months of billing history, which is 50% for then Bell, Bell only gives you 12months & I beleive Rogers & Fido are 12 months aswell.

And Bell also made this move a couple of years ago. TELUS is definitely not the first (not that it justifies it).
