I know the homescreens will be pretty basic until iPhone 4 jailbreak comes out. With the amount of RAM and higher processor speed, homescreens will be pretty advanced when these can be jailbroken. In the mean time, let's see your basic setup.

You can download pictures from Safari into your camera roll and then set the background that way.

You can sync photos in folders through itunes... I have about 6 photo folders that I sync... Family, Vacation, Kids, New, Jeep and Wallpapers. It's easier than carrying around photos in my wallet or purse.
