How do I mount my phone to my computer?

I have a samsung moment and i want to connect it to my computer. I've heard that i need to mount it by simply connecting to my pc with the usb cable. I've done this but it just show that it is charging. How do i get it to work? Oh and i have windows 7 btw

You most likely have to go into your phone settings and chose the USB mode if your phone has one.

Also, some usb cables only have the connections for charging.
If the usb mode is enabled on the phone(look for a menu called 'PC connection' under the settings/phone settings menu), when you connect the usb cable the computer should attempt to install the drivers for the phone.

+1 Make sure also that you connect the phone to the USB at the back of your pc if its a desktop to avoid issues.
