    VM is on Sprint's 3G network. Sprint Postpaid subs are moving to its separate/faster 4G network. The migration of the postpaid subs will free up 3G space that can be used by VM subs.

    I'm sure they have ways of keeping the network going. I mean, we've heard that AT&T has had problems in Time Square, and they've added Wifi in the area so that customers can get on wifi instead of using the cellular networks. I'm sure there are all kinds of different methods that we don't even know about that the carriers can use to expand the capacity of the network.

    A case can cover up the label. So can duct tape or nail polish.

    Yes.
    But you have to admit AT&T putting customers on wifi to free up network space is simply a band aid over there never ending problem :P

    Ah. So I am guessing WiMAX supports Voice and Data. Is Sprint going to deploy WiMAX2?

    I heard that too until WiMAX 2 was created. The whole reason behind them possibly going to LTE is because LTE is faster and because 2 Other carriers are going to use LTE.

    With WiMAX 2 being faster. All they need now is T-Mobile to deploy WiMAX.

    Oh, that's interesting. I'll need to look up WiMAX 2. That's for the information!

    no problem
    Though nothing is for sure yet. I think Sprints next move is gonna be on T-Mobiles part. Since Verizon and AT&T are gonna launch LTE. I am sure they will have some type of network agreement. If T-Mobile goes LTE, I don't think Sprint will stay the odd ball and keep using WiMAX or WiMAX 2 while the other 3 carriers use LTE. If T-Mobile goes WiMAX. Then I there would be more reason for Sprint to stay with WiMAX

    WiMAX = 45mbps to 70mbps
    LTE = 100mbps

    WiMAX 2 = 120mbps

    And WiMAX 2 is backwards compatible with current WiMAX phones so the phones don't change. Just the network

    Is 120 Mbps real world speeds or just the highest you can possibly get?

    I mean, will Sprint really offer 120 Mbps, or will it be more like 30 Mbps? The same with the LTE.. Is 100 Mbps really going to be offered, or will it just be a lot less?

    So don't buy a phone from Virgin Mobile.

    This is the best reason so far I have read on this thread of why to buy or not buy a particular phone. This displaced the inability to have live wallpapers to take over the number one slot.

    With these discussions about whether 30Mbps download speeds are enough, I just have to wonder what download speed these people have on their home computers for their Internet connections.

    Not 100% sure. I just know it will be faster than current LTE. And LTE is pretty quick. So I am guessing it will be good
