    Straight Talk adding GSM phones

This was spotted at a Wal Mart in PA, but the pic was not taken by me. Looks like Net10 Unlimited is history now. GSM phones have appeared on St's site, but I think this is the first spotting of one in store. Something tells me that this will go along the lines of Net10 Unlimited and be T-Mobile only.

Our feedback about Verizon Wireless agents as Verizon Wireless Prepay customers is: they are pointless to us.

Ummm, guys, the Verizon Wireless network is CDMA, not GSM and ST is on the 'Verizon network.

So are you saying ST is going to start using the ATT and T-Mo networks? Maybe more this one to the Rumors thread?

Thats the T401G not T401C (G like in GSM). I`m assuming you didn`t realize you were hitting the wrong key.

I just looked and we have them here as well. Not only the T401G but the slider phone (not sure of the model).
My Phones: Nokia 1100b (Tracfone), Kyocera 1135 (US Cellular), Kyocera KX-9 Milan (2, both US Cellular), Samsung Smooth (VZW), Pantech C120 (Red Pocket Mobile, previously Cingular), Motorola W175 (Tracfone)

Gone but not forgotten: Kyocera Soho (US Cellular), Motorola C139 (Cingular), RIM Blackberry 8707v (Unlocked, AT&T)

Yeah I'm not sure why anyone would pick either over Verizon when priced the same. I understand people picking T-Mobile to save money, or even at&t with their $60 talk and text prepaid plan. These however are the same price. Makes no sense to me.
People actually PAY for what A Fee & Fee calls service?! Why?

You obviously don't live in north Texas. Verizon coverage is spotty at best, where I live and work. Signal constantly fades in and out. Crappy coverage is the reason why I don't use Straight Talk. Don't even get me started on when I cross the TX-OK border.

If StraightTalk is being carried on the ATT network, in my area it will increase in value exponentially. ATT has great coverage, and with a SIM we may get the option of decent handsets. Verizon, here, just sucks.

I'm actually very excited about this announcement.

I just checked the Somerset KY walmart still no 401G for straighttalk. They had a ton of them for Net 10 which our walmart always has a ton of Net 10 phones. They need to start carrying more straighttalk phones like they used to. They sell like hotcakes here. They were still out of the LG 620G also.

But you are in the minority by far. Almost no one has better at&t coverage than Verizon. Their network just isn't as good.
