Nokia Nuron 5230 - trouble with freezing on startup after installing Ovi apps

First of all, I tried searching in the user thread first but did not find this.

I have had some problems over the last few days, after going into the Ovi store and installing a few/several themes and apps (4-6 or so), my Nuron will freeze on startup, at the white "Nokia" screen you see immediately upon booting the phone. I cannot shut off the phone unless I remove the battery. I am able to start the phone only after popping out the microSD card, at which point I go back and uninstall some of the apps, and restart, hoping that whichever app or theme was offending has now been removed.

Unfortunately I'm still not sure which apps/themes have caused this problem. Also, my phone has started to seem slow even when nothing is visibly running (in open apps). I feel like programs installed on the memory card might be contacting their home servers upon startup even though they aren't running. Is this possible?

Hoping someone can give me guidance. This is my first TMO and first Nokia phone after being on Verizon for a very long time. I think I finally have all the Nuron's menu options memorized, just about.

Would it be worth it to do a hard reset?

So, yes, I believe something on the memory card causes the problem. Corrupted downloads?

FWIW, I've found that the memory card included wasn't of the the highest quality. I didn't encounter any problems when I copied all the files off that card and pasted them onto a different card. If you think there might be a corrupted or file problem on the card, you could try copying everything off the card, formating the card, and pasting everything back onto the card.

im having the same problem. Its the phone cause i put the memory card in another nuron and bb it works fine. Plus mines will not charge while turned off.
