I'm loving DoubleTwist for syncing media to my Desire.
Can anyone get Wunder Radio to install from Android Market? I can't even find it in the Market. I can find it on AppBrain but when I try to download it to install I get an error message that it can't be found. I've tried WunderRadio and Wunder Radio and neither come up in the Market. The company who sells it is Jeyo. They state it should be there.
ya theres alot of apps that were in the market for the acclaim, but are not in market for desire. i know of atleast 5 and seen other people post more.
LogMeIn's Ignition is one app that I was able to purchase for the Acclaim, but not for the Desire. USCC support was of no help (I may have known more than she did). LogMeIn support suggested that the problem may be on Google's site, but closed my open support case without doing anything. This is more than a pain. I'm a paying LogMeIn customer and really need this operational by sometime in October. It does seem like a Market issue, not a phone or app publisher issue.
Can someone else confirm that LogMeIn Ignition is not present when doing a search in Market?
If you look at the Market's support forum you'll see LogMeIn's Ignition, Wunder Radio and a few more missing in the Market on certain phone's/carriers. I see some people calling these "protected apps." I'm not sure what they mean by that. I'm guessing the only way to get these missing apps to show up on our phone is complain to Android Market/Google until they show up.
I just signed up for USCC today and picked up the Desire. I had a rooted Nexus One on Tmobile, so I felt like I was buying the same phone all over again. One thing I have noticed is there are missing apps on USCC that tmobile had shown. I hope this isnt a issue cause that would suck, even though so far USCC is 100% better service than tmobile was in my area.
I just did a search for both Wunder Radio and LogMeIn Ignition from my Samsung Acclaim, and both apps are there. Not sure why they wouldn't show up for the Desire as it has more horsepower.

Exactly! It's obviously not a carrier blocking the app. I suggested to LogMeIn that the app may be version protected to prevent Android 2.1-update1 devices from installing the app, but they claim no. Somewhat frustrating (especially since I did buy and use the app on my Acclaim for the 20 some days that I had it).
I have been trying out Locationbot. It lets you set different volumes and ringers based on your location (through GPS or cell towers). The full version is only 1 BP, so something like $1.70 US.
I am using the free version right now (there is a location limit) to make certain it does what I need. So, so good. I am just having some problems with it setting the phone to vibrate, but it is hard to test tweaks when you have to physically leave a location.
I think it is at least worth a look. I have one setting for home, one for work and one for everywhere else.
You can do things the right way or the wrong way.
Or you can do it MY way...which is like the wrong way, only faster.
For those of you that don't like Double twist to sync music/media. I recommend using TuneSync. It offers wireless synchronization as well.
There are quite a few apps missing on the market from what I can tell. I first noticed it Saturday night when I tried finding MLB At Bat and thought I was crazy because MLB's website kept directing me back to the market to download it. I tried searching every way possible. Then I tried searching for WunderRadio and couldn't find that either which led me to finding a lot of problems back in June regarding protected apps and Google having to fix something in order for apps to re-appear (even previously purchased apps). Apparently there is still an issue... one which, I might add, may mean me taking my Desire back.
Can anyone with a Desire on US Cellular see WunderRadio in the market?
If I remember correctly from running Android on my Touch Pro, market apps are determined by LCD Density and by changing it, you would see different apps. Not sure if its possible to adjust it with a legit Android device
