Are you certain that the Sprint version of the TP2 has GSM radios? I was under the impression that it was CDMA only.

Hi,
I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 with a Bad Sprint ESN. As I'm sure you know, this phone has a SIM card slot. I know these phones can be unlocked for use on GSM networks using programs like RhodiumW.
Does it matter that this phone has a Bad ESN? Would this prevent me from unlocking this phone and using it on a GSM network (T-Mobile, AT&T)?
Thanks!
Yes. It has a SIM card. I believe it was intended for use internationally. You need to unlock it for use with US GSM networks (AT&T, T-Mobile).
^^ I think the Sprint TP2s came unlocked for SIMs outside of the USA. Meaning, you could take it to Europe and it would work right away. To use it for a USA GSM operator, you need to get it unlocked. Check PPC Geeks forum. I don't know of a free method at this time.
