TP2 no longer activated. No problem. All you need is Wifi and the phone on Wifi mode.

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I just cannot find the answer. and I've been on many forums and in Evo, Android, WinMo, Google Sync and a few other threads.
I cannont for the life of me sync my google contacts with exchange server. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It keeps saying my password is incorrect. I know for a fact that my password to google/gmail is correct because I use it on my device for email and sometimes logging into gmail from the web browser on the device.
I've never used an exvahge server before so I don't know if there is something on that end preventing me from syncing.
Outlook and Activesync works just fine USB on a PC. It's just the exchange part driving me crazy.
So I'm stuck with an Evo that I cannot get my contacts in right now. I don't want to simply use Gmail to sync. There are tons of contacts there that I do not want in my phone.
I want to use the Evo's phone book and not the additional phonebooks that are created whenever you create a POP acct to sync.
Sprint transfered my contacts but no pics for caller ID was transfered. And the notes and birthdays were screwed up too.
When I Bluetooth from TP2 to Evo, The caller ID pic comes over but the notes are screwed up.
As well, I can only BT 1 contact at a time. 380+ contacts is gonna be a pain.
And for some reason, when I use HTC Hot Sync, the Evo keeps telling me that it cannot find Hotsync on my PC, and I know it's there because I'm looking at the program as I'm connnecting device.
I'm constantly carrying an EVO that's activated and a TP2 that's not activated but I need my contact info from lol
Hopefully my post makes sense and ANY help would be so greatly appreciated.
also, I'm at work right now but if it's easier to call/contact me, just PM me and I don't have a problem giving my # for any help.
Thanks in advance.

I am @guamguy on Twitter.
BTW, if you have a problem if you don't want your GMail contacts into your phone, setup a second GMail account and Google sync all your TP2 contacts in there after you do the suggestion above. This second GMail account becomes your primary EVO account. To get email on your first GMail, you will have to setup your GMail and make it a second GMail account. Or just use the web browser.
I got problems editing on this forum. You can also set up your original GMail account as a POP3 account using the Email app instead of the Gmail app.

Thanks Guys. Salty I didn't know U were on here too lol.
I got part of what I want done. Main issue that I may not have been clear on is I really don't want to have to rely on google for the contacts.
I noticed when I try to remove account, I have to Factory Reset the device.
I really want the contacts, with Pics, With Calandar updated on the Evo's Internal phone book. Not the cloud phone book that happens from setting up a cloud service.
I will report back when I get home from work in a little bit.
I would suggest trying it on google before you decide against it. It's pretty awesome. All the contacts are just there automatically. I can flash whatever ROM I want and my contacts (with pictures and all that) will be there wth no work whatsoever on my end.
It's like a better version of the Microsoft MyPhone.
The calendar is pretty awesome too. I put an appointment on the calendar. One of the fields is for other attendees. I put my wife (who also has an Evo). It then automatically sends her an email notifying her and asking if she will be attending. The choices are yes, no, and maybe. In the mean time, on my calendar, it still lists her as pending. As soon as she answers (we'll say yes for this example) it automatically puts it on her calendar, and changes her status on my calendar from pending to attending.
It's pretty awesome. You should definitely check it out. It's all tied to your gmail address.
It's pretty cool so far.
I got the contacts there, but finally, using the exchange server put my calendar appts in the calendar. It takes some getting used to and I don't like how Google doesn't automatically add a new contact's birthday to the calendar like outlook does.
Ad tasks is a whole nother story lol.
But I do love how you have the option of a pop up, sms or email reminder straigh to your phone.
Now it's on to learning rooting lol
