The X should come with firmware 1.13.516 but there is an over-the-air-update that (should) update it to .604 firmware. If it doesn't update you might want to try a factory reset, then have it check for the update.

You guys can post the date code on the back label if it differs from 25/10 (week/year).

Just got home from Verizon with a Droid X in hand. I was first in a line of about 30 people. Only took 11 minutes for me to get my phone and get out of the store.

Are there any other coupons or anything going around? I know when I ordered the Dare 2 years ago some people had email and mails about other coupons. And the people that didn't have those coupons mentioned them and still got um!

Be sure to visit the Android Market for app updates, there's one for the Blockbuster app posted yesterday. I also noticed today that the VZ Navigator app is now listed. I tried it for a few minutes. Nothing new there, still cost $10 month.

If it's the same as the 5.0 on the dare, I do not want it. It lacks old features like "follow me" and "location info"

How are other android gps apps?

A co-worker finally took my suggestion and dumped his POS BB Storm for the Droid X. He called when they opened the 800 Number today and he was told it is on Backorder. He is excited either way. I told him welcome to the real world of smartphone's and the Android world.

I qualify for a upgrade 7-19 but have to wait to 10-15 for a $100 credit. My Droid is great so no need to move just yet. Besides some new and better is always coming.

Just use Google Maps with Navigation. It works perfectly fine.

Woke up at 6 AM and called VZW. They said my order is still pending and they can't promise me I'll get mine. So I go to the store and ask if I can cancel and get it at the store...They said NO and that I am stuck.

They had boxes of Droid X. Like 5 box full! No shortages I think.
