Yes there is a way rather than hitting the alt key. Double tap the period button and it will make a comma instead of a period. It's just like double tapping the spacebar to make a period.

Also, if your just trying to put a bunch of periods, continuously hit the button(period/comma) really fast.
I dont understand why everyone insists on ordering online when ou can just call telesales and get free overnite ship and a human being to setup the order.

Most likely replacements are getting sent out first.......with new purchases next in line.
I think you are right - I ordered a replacement today (I started the "Screen Issue" thread) and was told to expect it via fedex by 7pm on Friday....I did not question her as it did not register until I hung up...
Sorry about that Choco - that really stinks!! I called CSR that day (launch day) and she told me I wouldnt get it till Moday (4 days later) I decided to think about it a bit then later that day went on line and ordered that way, I used the free overnight shipping discount code I found on here). I would stalk that fed ex place if I were you. Hang in there it will come.
'Stinks' is an understatement. I called today and it is still in the 'pending' phase. No sign of shipment whatsoever. I explained to the lady that it seems that the phones with overnight shipping are getting prioritized over 2nd day, but changing it would cause her to cancel the order and reorder. Obviously, that was out of the questions. She went into a tirade saying she ordered at 12:05am on the 15th and won't be receiving it til August 3rd, so I guess it would be worse. However, every time I come into this thread and see it full of people that ordered it hours or days after me and have gotten it already, plus the people that are getting replacements before I get my first...well, it's very frustrating. My guess is it won't ship til the 23rd and with 2nd day delivery, I won't be getting it til Tuesday. So much for having it for my trip on Saturday

In all seriousness though, every VZW rep I've spoken to have been so helpful and sympathetic. It's a shame the company's management is so poor toward their customers because the CSR's are generally great.
Seido will probably come out with one as they did with the Droid. You will need to buy Seido's own home and car cradle, though.
I have mixed feelings with Seidio. I ordered a Innocase Surface + Holster combo for my Incredible from Seidio a month ago. The case was not a perfect fit.. hard to describe, but basically, it didn't feel snug. I could feel the space between the case and the phone. I contacted them and they shipped out a replacement, but it was the same deal with the replacement. They also made me pay for shipping my first case back.
Anyway, Seidio is by no means cheap, and I'm sure they make great cases, but the Incredible case was no bueno. And the customer service was nothing to write home about.
Anyway, I'm going caseless with this phone. It's already massive enough, plus all the cases I've seen look really ugly and take away the Droid X's glory and power. ;0
On a separate note, what's the best dialer app? I'm not liking the stock dialer one bit.
