Well I don't know which iPod Touch you have, but the one I have is obviously different than yours. I personally think, whether in landscape or portrait, the keyboard on my Touch is 2nd to none. Open up a webpage on both, then drag up and down as well as left to right. You will see which is more responsive
I am not hating on the X by no means. I played with a friend of mines for quite awhile. It was a tough decision not to get one. Its a great device. But I just prefer my Droid and iPod.

I forget. Some of my android devices make noise with the ani, but don't recall if the X is on of them - it depends on the ani not the phone. Is the problem that yours is or is not making noise?
As is the definition of "update", battery life should remain the same, or remain the same while doing more, or improve.
EDIT: there are some people that had attroicious battery life (like 4hrs with all data syncing things turned off). Problems like that are a different issue and not related to updates, but an issue with the phone.

No clue what was up with your buddies X but mine's easily more responsive than my touch, iPad or the iphones I've had. The only thing on the entire phone that has any lag whatsoever is the unlock from a blacked screen. Apps launch instantly, web pages scroll like fluid as do lists. Dunno. My touch can't handle scrolling smoothly through podcasts let alone web pages. It's an updated current gen touch too.
Once a 8.5-10" Android tablet comes out that is this responsive, I'm selling my touch and iPad without even thinking about it. The only ipod I'll keep is a whatever the current Nano model is for my car/podcasts at the desk.

Paired my phone with my Pioneer 7000BT stereo in my truck. Call quality is great, but I expected it would be since I had my DARE hooked up to my stereo as well and it worked fine. I also paired the BT Audio, which I never got around to do with my DARE. Sounds awesome, and its great to be able to manage songs/play lists on my phone rather than the tiny screen on the stereo.
Everytime you don't read the thread before asking your silly question, Verizon delays a new cellphone. Yes, Verizon did just robbed you.
HAHAHAHA! yeah I'm laughing at you!
Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default settings from silent to vibrate on the unlock screen and when you quick press the lock key on top. Silent is not very useful for me but a quick way to put my phone in vibrate mode from the lock screen or a button press would be.
Says the n00b. I am hardly a fanboy. Certain things Apple does better than Android, and vice versa. I am a fanboy of nothing, except products that work great for me.
Ordered on the 19th, still nothing. You ordered on the 22nd and already got it? Thats BS. Verizon what the heck is going on???
I wasnt expecting it today...I ordered it online at 5pm on the 22nd and it said should be shipped by Aug 4.... so checked status on sunday online to see if it had even been processed and said something in the terms of item is unavailable and will be processed once stock is replenished....etc or something like that. Then yesterday I got an email with the fedex tracking number being shipped from Memphis, thought it was a mistake but it showed up today.

Also paired mine with the Pioneer 980BT and works flawlessly as well as BT Audio and navigation... always had problems trying to pair my BT Audio from any of my Blackberrys but I missed the BT Voice dialing when I got the original Droid......everythings good now.

Mine docent make any noise, but it does make a single small vibrate during the eye, so I wasn't sure if it was supposed to say droid there or something.
My battery lasts ok, but I will definitely be getting an extended battery, because I don't want to have to return the phone so if there is a problem, they should cancel out.
When I said the 2.2 thing I ment did they add any software type thing like they did with earlier versions.
But will the 3500 mah battery make the phone too thick. Someone said it would make it the same size as the hump on top. Also will the 1750 mah, that keeps the phone the same size be a decent improvement, or only a very small one.
