I received the same message, call the number provided and spoke with a rep. She checked the reference # and said that it was in the still in the queue to be processed and that they were working on orders from the 14th. Hmmmm, don't know exactly how their system works, but it sounds like they might be understaffed.

Your order is currently in queue to be processed. In most cases orders are processed within 3 business days. If additional information is required before we can complete your order, you will receive a more detailed e-mail. If your order can be completed successfully, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order has been completed and shipped.
Should I cancel this internet order and go into the store tomorrow? I'm currently out of town and had it shipped to the address where I'm staying at assuming it would be here on friday via overnight shipping. The problem is I catch a plane back home on Saturday so if it doesn't process and arrive on Friday the order is worthless.
Went to the 34th Street NYC Verizon store. Was told that anyone who is purchasing full retail could only order online. Anybody having this issue anywhere else?
Thankfully I bought the Droid X at the 24 hour Best Buy in Union Square. FYI full retail at Best Buy is $699.
I think it was said before that some stores try to limit the amount of phones they sell at full retail, since the reps only make a commission on renewing contracts, but if you go in there to buy it at full retail without a contract renew, they should still sell it to you. I'm not sure who would pay $699 for BestBuy full retail since Verizon is $569.
Just got mine... Loving it so far! Not nearly as big as I thought it would be. Doesn't feel much different in pocket than my Omnia and fits perfectly in my hand!
They likely printed it out on a sales receipt for you.
Yeah, it looks like a sales receipt... Automatically prints for them.
And as an FYI for those that don't know: You can pre-register your rebate on the VZW website. It expedites the rebate process once you send it in (I think it prints out a form that you mail in and when it gets there they just have to scan it instead of typing in all of your info). You'll get your rebate back faster!
Is anyone able to upgrade early online. I tried to do an early upgrade on one of our lines through my business account and it won't let me, only option is full retail. The contract is up in Oct.
Just use Google Maps with Navigation. It works perfectly fine.
Is there any way to make navigation the audio actually loud? I have it set to full volume, but I could not hear the navigation directions over NPR (not loud music). I only tried it for the ride home from the store, and it seems great, but it's useless if I can't hear it. I hope I don't have to feed it through my car stereo. Having to chose car stereo or navigation audio for a 4 hour car ride is a deal breaker.... I'll begrudgingly stick with my Garmin and have a system loud enough to hear. So freaking close to being great.... but fails in one key area.

From what I understand you have to do it through Tele-Sales.
I've ordered the phone, but I have one question. In Gizmodo's review (http://gizmodo.com/5587225/motorola-...yline=true&s=i) they really blast motorola's software running on top of android. When the X is finally ready for 2.2, will there be an option to upgrade to plain, vanilla, 2.2, or will you be stuck with 2.2 w/ Moto's overlaying software? I'm so ready to get rid of my env touch.

$569.99 on verizonwireless.com with free overnight shipping.
Got mine. I was the first in line at the Cherry Hill, NJ store. Got there early to make sure I was first in/out. Sales staff was so cool and eager to help us X'ers. There was prob about 20 people in lne before the store opened at 8am. Very cool phone, sipe is awesome, and its sooooo much better than my Curve. More playing with it tonight as I had to go into work- I should have taken the whole day off.
I used an upgrade I had on a non-primary line on my family plan to get the Droid X with a one year contract. The line had been eligible for an upgrade since 4/21/08 and the phone came out at $229.99 online. Did I just get lucky or was there an old $40 promotion from 2 years ago that I had forgotten about?

I'm just the opposite. I use Google Navigation almost daily with my DROID since November and I always have it on mute. I couldn't even imagine needing to listen to the voice directions.
