I have a very important question for purposes of my use of the device.
I use touchdown. The email checking frequency is "as items arrive" right now. If I change it to every minute, will that drain more or less battery (or the same)?
I ask because the Push doesn't appear to be that perfect in that it will go 10 minutes without pushing email a lot of the time and I'll have to manually sync... so maybe if I have it refresh every minute it will work better.

Thanks.
I have mine set to "as item arrives" and it comes in pretty fast. Sometimes faster then the computer, I am not sure what is going on with yours. I wish I had more advice, but maybe uninstalll it and reinstall it and see if that helps. Sorry.

Are you using wifi? There is a wifi sleep setting that I'd turn off.
What about the battery profile settings? I set that to "performance" so my data is never affected.
Wait, you ordered yesterday and it shipped today? They were saying 8/11 yesterday...now 8/18 today. If my phone doesn't come on the date I was told in store where I ordered it, (8/4) this is going to be a non existent relationship for me as I will cancel and hop back to Sprint.
I ordered it online plus I have VIP status with Verizon and been a customer with them since 6 years, with family plan 4 lines since 3 years, also I am currently using a dumbphone which was eligible for upgrade since 2 years. Not sure if this helped to facilitate the shipment or not.
To be honest, its not important if you will get the phone a day earlier or not, what matters is it does not have issues.

Except that people keep getting their X a week or more before the date they're given (well, sometimes), even if the date moves, which it keeps doing. And that is unlike the Incredible.
leggy has it right though - hopefully you get a good one. Not that there are tons of bad ones, but that is a bigger issue than the shipping dates. That seems to be going more-or-less smoothly.

There is the one with the flickering screen or intermittent flickering. They may have a check in place for that one now though - that one got the most attention outside of forums like this. Some people have audio issues from the earpiece - like distorted at full or close to full volume. And some seem to have battery issues beyond the norm - though some are just new to smartphones and dont realize they only last a day And countless other various things.
All phone releases have "bad apples". There might be a higher percentage than normal, but there might not. They probably are rushing them a bit - they don't want a Incredible fiasco.

I ordered mine Wednesday night and it was shipped today as well.

I seem to find that the battery drops faster the higher the percentage is. like 100 - 90 is the fastest drop than 90-80 and 80-70. Once it hits 60 it seems to drop slower. my battery was at 50 and stayed there from 9pm till 2am. shut the phone down until 10am and it stayed at 50 until a little after 1. After the second day of use I shut it down at 12 with it hitting 30% only 20 minutes earlier. so it went from 100 to 70 in about 4 hours and lasted from 60-30 for about 27 hours. my battery saver mode kicks in at 20%.
Why does Moto only use 10% increments with battery instead of 1%? I personally think that if HTC, LG and Apple can do it (maybe others too but I have no personal experience) why can't Moto??

why does the increment amount matter ?? if your phone shows you have battery left and then warns you when its getting close to running out ?? who doesnt have a car charger or know someone with a phone that has a micro usb port that you can use to charge your phone with in an emergency ??
