    Wow, that's really weird then.
Try a battery pull first and see if that works. If not, go into the settings and try a Factory Reset.
Sounds like some files got corrupted in the firmware installation.

is there any way to re-install the update or revert to old firmaware?

No. The factory reset didn't help?
I would definitely try the factory reset. Some people "in the know" were recommending a factory reset after the OTA anyway.

It looks like Motorola does indeed control your Droid X
That was last week! Took almost 6 days to root it. Working on ROMs now.

Unfortunately, if your problem still exists after a factory restore, you'd have to exchange the phone, I imagine.
Factory restore can only restore to base/stock of whatever current version is on there - but you want 604, you just don't want a broken X.

You should have already called 611 and tried to get a replacement on the way, or in the system. I would have done that as soon as I saw a factory reset didn't fix it. I read they're sending replacements out rather quick?

Flashing isn't as simple as it used to be. You can't just get a SBF and install using RSDLite.

Camera stopped working again. Can't say for sure if this is update related, as I only had the phone a week before the update...but it never happened in the first week.

Not sure when it stopped working as I haven't taken a picture with it since Sunday afternoon...but a battery pull reboot fixed it again.

Doesn't make it any less annoying.

Installed mine manually last week. I'm having some issues.

I can't put my phone into silent mode anymore since the update. Will only let me go to vibrate. Also, my social networking app hasn't updated any information since the update.

The volume thing is a product of 2.2. It is intended to be that way. It is completely dumb, I agree, but that is how it is. You will have to use a widget to go to silent mode easily. I don't know about the second part. You might get more help in the update thread.
