I got the Vibrant. Love it. Just have one question. When you put phone on vibrate it doesn't vibrate when you receive new SMS. Is there way to fix it?

I want something that's rubber so I can grip it better.
eBay! They have some really nice Mesh (plastic, not what you're looking for) leather and Gel cases.. I see a lot of the cheaper ones easily. The more expensive ones are under "Zenus".

However I hear that the T-Mobile gel case is a bit more secure than this one. There is an abundance of cheaper ones and I'm surprised you're not finding those..

Body Glove makes a gel case for the Captivate -- I'm sure they make one for the Vibrant since it's pretty much the same as the Galaxy S Euro version.

Actually, the shape and dimension of Vibrant is pretty close to original Galaxy S, so all the accessories for SGS can be used with Vibrant.
The trend is pretty opposite from TP2 (the shape of T-Mobile version is totally different from all counterparts).

Ok. Thx. The reason I couldn't find any rubber or gel cases is because I kept searching under samsung vibrant instead of samsung galaxy s in eBay.

I thought the dimensions were slightly different between the S and the captivate and the vibrant. So the verizon fascinate is the same dimension also? I know the Epic 4g has a slide out keyboard so that's definately different.

The Fascinate is thicker and there is an LED flash to make room for.

Just used my upgrade for the Vibrant. Got it through T-MO CS for $150, no stupid $18 upgrade fee, and the $20 Android Preferred Data Plan. Very happy with CS. Cannot wait to get it. I am a bit ticked that there do not seem to be many cases for it. Also waiting for BestSkinsEver to release a skin for it. I love BSE; had them for my last 2 phones, and they are amazing and much cheaper than Invisible Shield/Ghost Armor.

There should be tons of accessories. It's virtually identical to the Samsung Galaxy S from Asia/Europe.

Radio Shack has a thin black gel skin that looks really good on this phone surprisingly and I'm not normally a fan of gel skins.

    Question

Thanks for the updates everyone. Just a few questions.

    1) Is this phone quad band GSM, in other words does it include the 2 bands used in Europe (900/1800)? Am wondering if I can use this to make phone calls in Europe.
    2) Can this phone tether to your laptop using Bluetooth and/or wifi (or any other wire-free method)? And if it can, does T-Mo have a problem with it? The reason I ask that last question is because originally I was able to tether with my Sony Ericsson TM506 using my Total Internet 19.99 plan, but it seemed like many people received T-Mo OTA or downloaded SE updates crippling this function.
    3) Can I use my old 19.99 Total Internet plan on this phone?

    Thanks in advance.

    1) This supports Euro GSM bands and the 2100mhz 3G europe band.

2)Yes, if you root you can install wi-fi tether or use PDA net (USB) if you dont want to root.

    3) The $20 Total Internet wont work, but CS can add a Pref android plan for $20. You loose the the Hotspot wi-fi feature (at Starbucks, Kinkos...ect) don't know if you use that....

About wired tethering, try samsung moment USB driver/application
Use "USB debugging mode" Settings->Applications->Developers when you're ready.
