    No Icons On Home Screen

I have an old school first gen iphone. It's jailbroken. I was wondering if there is any way to have absolutely no icons except for the ones on the dock on the home screen?

Yes, put everything in folders and move them to the dock.

No, that's not gonna work. iOS collapses and removes home screens if they don't have any icons on them.

Not on my iPhone 4. It only collapses those screens if they're not the first one.

I got the idea from that long thread showing your home page. I just moved all the icons that were normally on my home screen over to the next page. Leaves the first/home page blank.

Yeah, moving everything off the screen does work. I didn't think it would because I tried that in itunes and the blank page would just disappear. So I left one icon on the first page, then afterwards moved it to another page on my iphone and it works.

Jailbroken? Download "Poof!" from Cydia. You can hide icons on your home pages, but still access the apps from Spotlight search. (Power cycle may be necessary for Search to find them.)
If you commonly type the name iPhone as "Iphone" or "I-Phone"... or if you commonly refer to an iPod Touch as an "iTouch" or "I-Touch"...... Then you deserve whole bottle of habanero hot sauce poured into your eyes!

or... if OP is jailbroken, he can install blanks. Use those on the first page. This will also work on an unj/b'd device if it is restored from any previously j/b'd iPhone's backup that had blanks installed.

    FYI

Thanks for the help. I think I'm just going to move all the icons from the home screen manually and then when it comes time to sync my iphone, I just got to remember to set it up. By the way, rebooting the phone will also reset the icons.
