    Thanks.
It does not, the $29.99 data plan works with Exchange and ActiveSync (and Touchdown) and once I got the 604 update even notes sync now.

So pardon the dumb question - what's the point of the more expensive data plan?

It's for Verizon hosting your exchange server I believe.

    2 things:

1 to filter your contacts (get rid of facebook, gmail contacts etc) contacts>menu (bottom left button)>display group>phone contacts. This will show only the contacts that you actually call while still being synched with facebook, etc

2 In the contacts screen, at the very top are the numbers for #bal, #min, #Warranty center, etc. If you want them to go away, tap on it>menu>edit (i got rid of the pound sign and put a z in front) or just tap delete. This makes it less cluttered :-)

Hope these tips help, it was time I gave back after all the useful info I have gathered here :-)

I have a email question. Is there a "sent" email folder? In time, will I or should I delete all the sent emails? and if so how would I do that?

Swype Tip: When you have a text input screen, tap and hold the text box (where any typed data would go)and eventually a box comes up that gives you the choice of input method. You can use the standard keyboard, swype, or any custom keyboard you may have installed.

Text message question: When I use my volume rocker to change the ring status to vibrate, the text message goes to silent. I only know a text came in if I see the blinking light. How do I make the phone vibrate for a received text when the ringer is set to vibrate? Also can the phone screen be set to turn on briefly when a text comes in while the phone is on vibrate, just like if it were to ring?
Genius!!! i couldnt figure out how to go back from teh swype to the normal keyboard...i figured out also holding down the "settings icon/#s and symbols" button on the keyboard..(far bottom left buttom) also allows you to go to input method and method settings..but i hate that swype keyboard so much, its pointless and doesnt allow 2 hand typing at all, so i could never figure out how to quickly change back to the normal way.

Also..ive noticed if you HOLD the camera button teh camera turns on..ive read alot of reviews from boy genius and engadget that made complaints about how the button doesnt load up teh camera when pressed. dont think they are holdinig it down.

People who like to browse the web..i highly recommend dumping the stock browser, and picking up Dolphin HD, and the backup bookmarks to SD add-on app, the direct mobile - desktop toggle add on, and the screen capture add on...they work wonders!

And WI-FI, ive been reading, you need to set security to wpa2-psk and change to channel 11, and modes b & g only, or you can just turn security off if your in a trusting area. But i cant get it to connect via WEP. Make sure to reboot all network devices after this too for it to fully function.

    Two more dumb questions:

    1. Is there an easy way to type .com with swype?
    2. How do I save an image file from an internet site like google images?

    Thanks

the dot is in lower right corner. once you "tap" a word in the dictionary it will work. i do not remember if i had to tap in .com or not but does work now. once you tap any word it will remember it. it does not recognize cuss words the first time you use them

Go into wireless settings in your router... (192.168.1.1) in your internet browser, log in. Go to wireless settings and it should show security settings. It should say NONE or WEP, WPA2K-PSK (TIS) WPA2K-PSK (aes). pick the AES one. create a passphrase and hit apply

Check this page out dude: http://www.siena.edu/pages/582.asp

You can either add it as a POP3 (Microsoft Exchange Server) OR...IMAP which I do. Just make sure you enter the correct incoming and outgoing servers to your phone when adding the account.
