My biggest tip...follow these instructions for converting almost any type of video so that they will play correctly (and beautifully of course) on your X.

Very good but I do not see the computer requirements

I think my old T8100 with only 3GB will choke on such a heavy demanding task.

Your HandBrake program doesn't seem to be working for me. Every time I have tried what your url says, the program crashes and I get the error message shown in the attachment.

Not sure why it would be doing that besides the fact you're using a windows machine and it's anyone's guess what's going on. My windows 7 machine works fine and so does my MacBook Pro...so not sure what the deal could be. Hopefully the link will be helpful to a few others. Myself and my three other friends with X's seem to do fine with it...so it's likely just your pc specifically that is having the issue. Who knows. There are other programs out there as well, but that little tutorial seemed to work best for me to explain it to everyone.

If you're trying to convert a commercial dvd , handbrake doesn't have any way to remove the encryption used on those . if you google dvd ripping you will see what you need if you want to rip your dvd to your pc , then use handbrake to convert its format , which is what handbrake is made for , not encryption stripping

Or, for an easier and speedier solution, just download rockplayerbase and copy the files to the sd card. It can play anything, but it gets a bit choppy on a 1.5 GB, 1 hour episode of Top Gear in 720P.

You know what I wish they'd change? The fact that a text message still shows up as a "new alert" in the status bar on top even after you read/respond to it via either the pop-up text or even within the text program itself

You can clear it by backing all the way out to your home screen, then entering the text message app, then clicking on the person who's text the alert is from. For some reason it just doesn't think you've read the text if you're already in the thread that the alert is from. You have to go all the way out and back in and it'll clear it. That has been a problem in Android since day one...it's happened on all three Droid phones I've had (Droid, Incredible, X).

Depends on the app, but normally just clicking in the message box will clear it. Either the input text box or the actual window where the message is.
