    How to change smtp port on TP2

    This is a follow up to a post in the general section. Recently I haven't been able to send emails out of my personal domain through Go Daddy. They have me a SMTP relay to get through ISP blocked ports but I haven't been able to get out lately.
    I though I was changing the port numbers in the setup buy typing smtp.xxxxxx.netort number. I've tried various numbers and they all get stuck in the out box.
    Is there another way to change the port number?

    Simplest way;
    Setup a VPN account, either IPSEC or PPTP, it will bypass blocked ports.
    it works perfectly for me on any Windows mobile phones , such as TP2 and HD2
    T-Mobile - the largest fake 4G network in Americas

    HTC HD2 Speed on 3G/HSDPA

    T-mobile 3G/H or Pharos 137

    Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; zh-tw; Nexus One Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

    Can you try to setup secured SMTP ports on server side with certificate?

    It's easier to mail through TM's SMTP server. Log on to My T-Mobile and at the very bottom of the page you will see "Configure Email" which will give you a popup with "Setup Email". Unfortunately while I'm in the office I can't get at those pages to tell you the exact steps, but basically add your email account. Once you have that you can send through the server myemail.t-mobile.com. That smtp server requires authentication which is yourphonenumber:1 for username if it is the first email setup ( :2 if was the second etc.), with the password being your pop password you setup when defining it. Only thing to note is it always uses the email address you setup when you defined the account regardless of what your client has set. So if you need to send from different addresses you need multiple accounts defined. If you have SPF defined for your domain, you obviously need to add the t-mobile range.
