Got my new Droid X, and I love it!
However, every time I plug it into my PC, it launches to the Web page for the V Cast Media Manager. I don't want to download this software.
How can I stop the sync process from launching that Web page?

that did the trick... thanks!
On an HTC incredible I don't have such an icon. I get the same prompt, but looks like I need to reload Vcast; change the configuration default to charge only; test/verify; and then remove Vcast. dw
Supporting:
I had vcast on the device since May, but only activated it for 1 month in July, then removed it from the system. Seems that Vcast when working does "something" to my connection option, hence it had/expected this media manager. When I removed Vcast, it left this feature behind, so that not finding the Vcast media, it drags me to the internet to download. A phone call with CS explains that I need to reinstall Vcast; change the option/preference; and then remove Vcast and all "should" be well.
Alternatively, I suggested that Vcast should not make changes to your device; not tell you about them; and finally, when removed, do not leave any remnants behind. Editorial: I'll just reinstall, configure and remove: hopefully that will work on my HTC Incredible. Sep 22, 2010
Just got my Incredible. Is there an alternative to vcast? I am looking for a way to move data or files, probably mostly mp3, to the phone. Right now when I connect to my laptop via usb, file manager, on laptop, shows the drives but I can't do anything.
