If they have the iPhone 4 in white then better wait to get it because I heard that they are fixing the antenna issue with the white iPhone 4 in white. X10 is also good but I was a bit disappointed with the update
Take the X10, it will soon have HD720p@30fps with constant auto focus video recording, excellent pic quality from its camera,it also has fantastic battery life especially when compared to its other Android counterparts.
Android is also highly customizable straight-out-the box,no need to hack or jailbreak.
Overall i'd say X10,you get the best of both worlds: an amazing user friendly UI and loads of freedom/customizability.

My bro has an X10. I love the way the X10 automatically syncs Facebook and Picasa pics from the website to the Mediascape folders.
Lilke you upload a pic to Facebook via PC or another mobile like a Blackberry or iPhone, and the X10 would display the same pic in the Mediascape folder after a few seconds.
I think this phone needs Android 2.1 at least, and it would be perfect.
I'm currently facing this dilemma. I now have an opportunity to get the iphone4. In all honesty, I think I'll jump ship and get the Iphone4 because:
Reality issues:
- Holds value better and longer
- a bit laggy(got major complaints when I showed my X10 to an iphone 3g user)
- 6gb of data for iphone instead of 1gb for x10 with the same cost of $30 on rogers!, wtf!?
Minor issues:
- Keyboard on X10 is less accurate than the iphone
- tons of Apps on the iphone4
Gripes on the Iphone4 that I may regret?:
-No BT transfer (rarely needed it , but it will be painful to e-mail a simple damn picture)
-Relies soley on itunes for media
-no social integration(correct me if I'm wrong)
- white is not availabe yet
Following tested only on 3g, not iphone4
- logins not big enough (I tested on an iphone 3g but don't know about iphone4), Have to pinch and zoom to type my login in this forum, when I could already see what I typed on my x10(no need to zoom), zooming creates lag.
- took a while for me to get to the gsm/buy/sell section on the 3g, had to scroll for quite a long time.
(maybe I'm not used to the 3g but these issues, certainly annoyed me a bit)

fantastic battery life? lol how long have u been using ur x10?
i've held onto this phone for a good 4 months and after extensive research and modification efforts i managed to improve the battery life significantly (helix launcher, changing settings, r2ba024, etc). but even after the significant battery life increase, it is still ridiculously miserable compared to, say the 3gs which was my previous phone. i've never used a phone in my life that has batt life worse than the x10. i must say the biggest jump in batt life occured after r2ba but it still sucks lol.
as for whether the x10 is fast or not, it rly depends on ur ownage history. my frnd who was a "3g" user thot it was fine. me n a couple of others who were "3gs" users thot it was ridiculously slow, esp for something running a snapdragon cpu. i shudve listened to the sales person, he told me i wudnt like it since im a 3gs user haha. sure, iphone has its probs but nothing beats its unrivaled dead accurate, responsive, n lagless touch screen scrolling and keyboard. iphone is prolly the only phone where ur fingers can literally enter turbo mode the moment u pick up the phone
I've got an x10 and have the $30 6GB plan. It's available for all smartphones, I believe. My wife has an iPhone 4. I prefer mine. The iPhone UI is more polished or actually integrated. All the apps look like they were put out by the same developer. Apple clearly more tightly controls the user experience than Google does. The very existence of the Sony Ericsson UX is a case in point. But I prefer the customisability and flexibility that the X10 gives me.
I would go for iPhone 4 because of It's a symbol of prestige these days but It doesn't mean you can't have any other phone. Make up your mind listen to your heart.
I'd for the iPhone 4, the X10 is a nice device, but 1.6 is quite old now. And the currently planned upgrade is only for 2.1 if I recall, and by the time that comes out, 2.2 will have been released for even longer then it currently has.
If Android is something that you want to try, I'd suggest the Nexus One, which has the "pure" Android experience. Thats assuming you're interested in the same thing as me. Although I'll give SE credit, the X10 has one of the better mods to Android I've seen
"But they want the holes. They wanna to live in the holes. And they go nuts when somebody else pours dirt in their holes." House M.D.
I've had both and prefer the X10. Battery and reception is fantastic compared to most phones I've used. I returned a Captivate to get it and much prefer it to the Samsung.
The X10 is a great device but it does have a few shortfalls.
1. Android 1.6. Really needs to be running 2.1 at LEAST but 2.2 would be nice.
2. No multi-touch support really is a downgrade from other high end touch screen devices.
3. Screen only supports 64k colors instead of 16.7 million. (Translates into poorer image quality than most high end devices.)
4. No HD video recording.
The X10 will get HD video recording and will do 16M colours when it gets the 2.1 update in September, 65K is a 1.6 limitation, but being an SE the display is still one of the best out there, certainly doesnt come close to the S-AMOLEDs by Samsung though, those are on a league of their own lol.
Ive found battery life to be good on my X10,ive had it 2months now and ever since updating to R2BA024 and using UCWeb, my battery has been realy good, ive very happy with this phone, but cant wait for the 2.1 update which will bring out its true potential.
