Telus and Samsung have released invitations to team members for a launch party for a new out of the world smartphone. They are three launch parties being held one in Toronto on August 12th, Montreal August 5th, and Vancouver August 10th.
I'm thinking they will not launch anything until the Toronto party on the 12th at the earliest. Wouldn't be to big of a surprise that they announce the phone and then also give a date for it to arrive. With school starting up I would think the date would be very close to the 12th though.
Nothing confirmed yet, but generally expect the phone will release shortly after the launch party (as in a week + a few days ish at MAX), definitely not beforehand though. Seeing as Rogers is releasing the galaxy in Sept., I'm definitely leaning towards something beforehand if the launch party is Aug 12.

It's quite possible they could re-use the "Epic" name for a totally different variant than the Sprint Epic 4G.
But yeah if this variant were to have QWERTY, and in particular one better than the Milestone's (which isn't difficult), it would be one hell of a win for Telus.
