easy question. has anyone figured out a way to increase size of text IN EMAILS. it can be done on websites but not emails. all of the fonts i can find in the app store do all sorts of fancy things but all i want is 12pt or 14pt fonts so i don't need my reading glasses

Had the i9000 since the Aug26, and the last few weeks I noticed increased lag, and unresponsiveness from time to time. Until this evening when the screen when completely black with the menu and back softkeys lit. totally locked up. reboot by holding down power button. it would boot up normally but the Galaxy S logo would boot with no sound then it would go back to black screen with lit up soft keys. pulled battery and same thing.

boot to recovery, deleted cache. = no change.
boot to recovery, wipe data/ factory reset. = back to original state with all of my user data gone. its back to stock. but remains unlocked. not sure if its still rooted though. might not be.

Probably wont do anything with it until the Froyo release

    Android 2.2 Issuex

I upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo over the weekend and have two issues that are important to me:

    1. GPS stopped getting a lock
    2. Battery life is about 50% less

My fiancee has the same issues on his newly "upgraded" phone. Help! I googled the issue and none of the solutions seem to work.

Thumbs down Vibrant is a major disappointment

I had very high (too high?) hopes for the Vibrant when I got it back in June. I ordered it from TMO the night before it was actually slated to be released so I've had mine for as long as anyone. Basically, I'm pretty disappointed in the support from TMO/Samsung (no Froyo and it's 2011?) and in the quality of the handset. It's been buggy, flakey, locks up requiring a hard reset multiple times a week. GPS performance has been terrible even when it does get a lock. The UI is laggy. I upgraded from a HTC G1 which I'd had for two years and it had none of these problems - except the lag due to the slower processor. I'm constantly amazed how a 1Ghz processor can take so long to load an app or refresh the icons on the screen.

More details on my own experience with the phone are here.

Bottom line - no more Samsung phones for me.

    Thumbs down Vibrant bluetooth disonnects

VIBRANT quickly links to my acura bluetooth but then intermittently disconnects randomly
sometimes it works for 5 min and sometimes for 15min b4 it cuts out. it's not the car because i used a BB and other phones for 2 yrs without any problem

i thought i had it solved by deleting all of the apps and then trying it. no luck. same problem

does anyone know what could be causing this?
isn't it time for Samsung to issue an update?????

I've read through these and I'm surprised no one has talked about unlocking the vibrant.
I've unlocked my vibrant and brought it to canada. Now, I must keep my phone either by a window or outside (even while in a car) to which it takes 2-3 minutes to find a gps lock.
Another thing is that it cannot send or receive mms messages. This really annoys me.

I find that this phone was not ready for release in the marketplace and should be called back for fixing.

My boyfriend has this phone and we just experienced another issue with it.

We were talking (he is driving while I am at home) and his called dropped but on his end he said the phone stopped responding. He tried calling out, nothing happened. He did receive my text message but wasn't able to create a text to send back. I tried calling him twice in a 3 minute window (he phone goofs up when I try to call back too fast) but he never saw that I was on his end.

This is the second time something like this has happened to his phone. I got him to switch from AT&T and his iPhone 3G to be with me on T-Mobile but now he's really hating on T-Mobile (reception is OK in our high density Southern Orange County!!) and more so on his Vibrant.

I told him to call TMO CS and basically tell them to either replace his phone, let him switch to a new phone or we go to another carrier. I would rather not go to a new carrier (been with TMO for 7-8 years now) as I like TMO but... eh, they're lagging behind the times in my opinion.

Anyone else have this issue and may have a fix for it? I've seen many other threads with issues so maybe it's not worth replacing.

Wipe the phone (data wipe) and install the KA6 FroYo update, it will solve a lot of buggy problems he's having.

Follow the instructions in the sticky thread to the T. If the phone is not recognized by Kies Mini enable USB Debugging under Applications and Development.
LTE has arrived. The third carrier in Las Vegas with 10x10 LTE coverage

Coverage will expand to 100 million LTE pops for the first half of 2013, with the second half of 2013 expanding to 200 million POPs covered. Release 10 LTE (2×10, 2×20) will be better performing than all other competitors.

Touch sensitive keys seems have muted vibrations on the 2.2 Froyo update... (I turn my vibration intensity to the max and can barely feel them) Wasn't a problem on 2.1 for me.

Having a real issue with Swype on this phone... It seems to draw the trace lines *between* the letter for the most part, and always prefers to draw straight line rather than curved ones, aka, jagged lines...

I took a Youtube video to illustrate the problem.. Note that if this doesn't belong here Mods, please let me know. Its been years since I've used HF

Ever since I did the Froyo 2.2 update, I've noticed the following issues:

    (1) The GPS problem: takes forever and a day to find my location, usually ending in me not using it.
    (2) Sometimes it doesn't register my missed calls and when I get voicemails, those don't register either unless another voicemail comes in or I restart my phone.
    (3) More frequent dropped calls.
    (4) 3G/overall service sometimes becomes unavailable temporarily while accessing the net or sending texts.
(5)After I delete/replace a phone number for a contact, the number still appears when I try to send a text to that contact.
    (6) How do you stop duplicate contacts from being displayed when texting as well?

Someone please help. I can't even get "Kies" to run.

I bought the phone last night and already spent 5 unsuccessful hours trying to connect to my PC, have it recognized, and sync contacts/email. All I get are error messages.

    1. Anyone want to tell me why there is no software available to download on the phone's product page - http://www.samsung.com/us/support/do...SGH-T959ZKATMB ? I tried Kies Mini (update), that works fine. It would be freaking nice to put the main Kies app there.....unless of course it's not supported?

    2. I downloaded Kies 2.0 from somewhere else on Samsung's website. Installed drivers, which initially failed (it pointed to my Netgear Wireless Router for some reason - WTF DOES THE PHONE HAVE TO DO WITH M ROUTER), I had to enable Windows Update, and then it was a success. I connect my phone via USB, the only 3 options I have are Kies (firmware update), Media Player, Mass Storage. There is no option just for the normal Kies. So I select Kies (firmware update), and Kies tells me "Kies 2.0 does not support my device".

I've done a lot of Googling and I'm just frustrated now. I unmounted, and removed the 2GB Samsung SD Card (default) already. What the hell else do I have to do now?

I had the Galaxy S for over a year and had no problems with the bluetooth connection to my Hyundai Genesis. I recently got the S2, and now I have the bluetooth connection randomly dropping. There is no rhyme or reason why it is dropping. The bluetooth still shows that it is on on the phone, but the only way to get it reconnected to the car is to turn off the phone and turn it back on. I can't figure out what is going on.
