    Data Dead on Milestone

Last night, I noticed that the data icon (3G/H) icon beside the signal bars was gone. Tried switching to airplane mode and back, and turning off the phone and back on, but it didn't help. Decided to see if it would work again on its own the next morning, but it still didn't.

Did a factory reset and re-entered the APN settings found at http://thekidd.ca/blog/2009/05/roger...ndroid-phones/ but still not working.

Rogers support reset the profile, didn't work. They said I would have to switch to a Rogers phone to do further testing. I don't have access to one right now because I'm in Montreal.

Phone calls and texts are working fine.

Any ideas on what to do next? thanks!

    Did you try this APN:

    Name: Rogers
    APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
    MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
    MMS Proxy: 10.128.1.69
    MMS Port: 80

On XDA those are the APN setting all ROM cookers use.

I can confirm that those settings work with the HTC Legend bought via Virgin Mobile, unlocked, and used on Rogers.

Basically, yes. The others should be filled in already, but if not, this is everything you need:

    Name: Rogers Internet
    APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
    Proxy: <Not set>
    Port: <Not set>
    Username: <Not set>
    Password: <Not set>
    Server: <Not set>
    MMSC http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
    MMS proxy: 10.128.1.69
    MMS port: 80
    MCC: 302
    MNC: 720
    APN type: <Not set>

After you enter the settings and save it, make sure you SELECT the new APN settings by tapping the button beside the new APN name. It must be selected after you setup the settings because it doesn't select it automatically, even if it's the only choice.

I am having the same problem on my sister's Milestone.

I've tried both the APNs I've found online and the ones in this thread. How do I make sure it's active, though? It doesn't have a little checkbox.

    EDIT; Nevermind. Figured it out.
