    MIlestone https sites and 3G

I've been searching the forums for a while, but can't find anything about this. When I try to connect to https sites using the 3G connection it is incredibly SLOW, compared to using wifi, where it seems quite normal. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

There is a problem with the stock Proxy settings:
Settings, Wireless & Network Settings, Mobile network settings, Access point Names,Telus,
Then delete the Proxy and Port settings in row three and four so that it then says "not set"

Thanks so much for this tip. Big improvement on HTTPS sites. Didn't even know it was an issue. Just thought my phone was slow.

    Cheers!

I tried this and it seems to have worked. HTTPS sites stopped loading for me the past couple of weeks. But what are the consequences of doing this? This is by passing the Telus proxy. Is the proxy only for Data access, or could it affect my Incoming/outgoing calls?
