Is this for real or what? 1 person on these boards already posted in hand photos. The PRICE seems TOO GOOD to be TRUE, but if it IS.... this is BLISS>
Picked up a few units from SN traders. Its definitely the 9780 with 512Mb RAM, 5 Mega pixel camera, loaded with 6.0.0.140 OS. Also, loaded is App World 2.0(Which is available through Beta Zone) and BBM 5.0.1.40. Boot time is very fast ~ 25 seconds.

Sweet beauty!
Care to share other pic's that have not already circulated? Is your PIN working (PM me it I wanna see how it registers)?
I'd love to see how the Options in Enterprise Activation or even the EXIF data from a picture.
Review Review!!
Gads I need a 9700 and fast I'm going nuts with iPhone which I don't use (1wk old) and a stupid paygo Sammy.
I wouldn't be surprised that these are "for internal use only" units and sooner or later PINs will be disabled rendering these things useless.
Well you "may" be right but I find it hard to believe RIM cannot track those PIN's once their activated - even just to find the account that their mated to via IMSI/SIM Card and MSISDN (telly). Then the put the books to it.
Also I wonder how more than just 2 gets leaked out for sale by a retailer .... probably stocked for sale after official announcement and just started selling before hand. Sure they'll miss out on the 9800 but I'm sure they'll do a "mock" firing of the rep they blame for the 9780 sales.

GTFO!!!!!!!!! Sweet!!!
edit: price on SNtraders - $559 USD... yikes... $600 with shipping basically.... kinda steep, since i'd expect full price through a carrier to be $499... (9700 is $449 contract free from T-Mo - that's how I got mine)
If working on Rogers, means it's the 850/1900/2100 UMTS version, correct? Should work on AT&T then (most recent shots of the 9780 have been the T-Mo US version (bands 1/4/8 ie. 1700/900/2100 version)
I have my iP4, but may or may decide to get this just for grins... now that the JB is available, would be SO easy to unload my iP4 for some good coin, especially considering limited supply still... and unlock just around the corner....
Do I want to go back to BB? Is 9780 the one to do it? Or wait for 9800? Or do nothing?.... hmmmm.... decisions decision...

ntrsfrml - your honest opinion of OS 6 on a non-touch screen device?? enough of a breakthrough compared to OS 5, or would you say OS 6's potential truly lies in a touch screen interface?

Hehe ... I was in the same vote for 2wks ... but the BB just pulls me back in. My next jump may be to an Android as they're now maturing (Galaxy S is close enough - AT&T's version). But right now and for this year its BB for me.
BTW, like the 9700 this 9780 will have 2 versions for 3G support ... just the radio bands will be specifically supported.
