So after being first in line yesterday, and getting the only iphone 4 best buy had, too top it off they screwed up and gave me new contract priceing on my early HUP (bought my 3g in April 09) , so I only payed 159 for the phone
Now does anyone know how I get the 6gb plan on my phone? Cant seem to find the option on rogers site. Can I just go into a rogers to get it or do I have to call them? thanks
I had the same thing happen. Rogers said it would cost me $499 to HUP to the 32 gig iphone4 but when we went in to Rogers, our new contract said it was $269 plus the $35 activation fee. When the apple rep was inputting info into the computer, he had the option to click on a $269 price with 3 yr contract or $499 with 3 yr contract. He automatically clicked $269. We are awaiting our next bill from Rogers to see what happens. We signed our correct at the $269 price. I hope Rogers doesn't screw around with that because it's a great price.
Yea I signed the contract at 159 plus 35 dollars activation fee, can they even change the price if I signed it as well as a rogers rep? I wouldnt think so, that is their bad not mine. Anyway should have been 399 was 159 so im not complaining lol.
I'm pretty happy with my deal on my iPhone 4. $44 billed on my next invoice.
are you claiming that you got your iPhone 4 for $44? How much fido dollars did you have built up? lol not such a great deal if they stacked your plan on the renewal

I had 135 fido dollars.
I look at it this way.. I have been with fido for a decade and won't be leaving. A stacked contract is no concern to me because I can now buy an unlocked version in 2 years and by that time will be able to get an iPhone absolutely free in 3 or 4 years. At the end of the day, it costs me less with a 4 year contract now than it would if I bought unlocked now and upgraded next year.
scenario one (with stacked 4 year contract):
iphone 4: 44
iphone 6: 774
iphone 8: 0
total = 818 over 4 years, or 272 per phone
scenario two (no stacking):
iphone 4: 774
iphone 6: 0
iphone 8: 179
total = 953 over 4 years, or 317 per phone
I had also got my iPhone 3G for $74. :P If used properly, contracts are just as beneficial to the user as they are to the company.
I'm curious if anyone actually paid the $399 or $499 HUP cost as stipulated by the Rogers website? According to Rogers, I should have paid $499 for my 32 gig but Apple invoiced me for $269. Anyone have any idea about this?
I just wanted to know if anyone else had the same thing happen i.e. supposed to be paying 399 but payed 159. It seems a few have. Wierd on rogers part but good for us
