Yes, all Chatr customers have full access to the Rogers 3G network if their phones support it. This thread was started because of confusion from the iPhone not telling you the type of connection on the homescreen unless there is an active data connection. Android phones work the same way with the signal status icons on the main screen.
I've had great luck in Calgary with 2g on an iPhone 4.
I was able to make the battery last one entire week (few calls, lots of wifi though).
Ok guys... what's the final word on this?
I have an iPhone 4, just signed to Chat-r data plan and can't make it work on my iphone...
Any ideas how to proceed? I can't even configure my data APN thing...
I get full 3g voice and data speeds .92mpbs. down and .016 up. To get the APN to work you need to download a new carrier package. If jailbroken try http://www.unlockit.co.nz/unlockit/ do it in safari pick chatr then enjoy.
My Sony Ericsson Vivaz worked full 3g as well.
It also worked for me, even on a non-jailbroken phone.
Did you make it work? and how...I have an iPhone 3gs that is locked to roger's Im with chat-r . The phone and texting work just fine I can't seem to connect to the internet though if not in wi-fi. I called apple they didn't know. I called Rogers like 6 times one guy told me unlocking the phone might do the trick. Then called chat-r twice one guy told me the same thing. Thoughts?
iPhone 3GS does not have "instant-on" network connectivity
