Is the Audiovox PPC 6700 a multimedia phone or a smartphone?

I am looking at buying the Verizon version of the Audiovox PPC 6700 for use under my current Verizon contract. However I do not want to pay the $30/month Verizon requires on all smart phones. Is this a smart phone?

6700 was introduced before verizon started requiring users to add data with a smartphone, so you don't need to pay the $30/mo. However, since it is a smartphone you will be charged $15/mb without a data plan.
