I was just looking at the specs for this phone on newegg.ca and it has this: (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...205209&Tpk=e72)

    "3G: AT&T 3G Only"

What does this mean? Will this phone work with Fido, specifically Fido 3G?

Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes this phone works with Fido 3G and rather well too. I get signal when my iPhone/BB buddies on Fido don't =D

AT&T use the same frequencies as Fido...so it will work.

On a unrelated note, the asian model e72 has better theme effects than ours

I know, hate the fact that the NAM e72 themes suck so much.

I sometimes get the feeling that Nokia doesn't care about it's North American customers

    draginox,

    Greetings.

There is nothing to stop you to cross-flash the E72-2 with certain E72-1 variants firmware without messing up the keyboard layout. I have done that with mine using the Phoenix to cross-flash it with a Hong Kong variant firmware. Not sure if you can do it with NSU though.

BTW, mine come from Nokia USA and work 100% with Rogers, Fido (both GSM and UMTS/HSPA+), Bell and TELUS (UMTS/HSPA+).
