Installing non-VM apps on Rumor Touch

For those of you having the "content blocked by operator" message in opera mini, i do get it as well. Now when i called VM to complain and to find out what might be the issue, they first lied to me and told me my phone was the problem. When I corrected them and told them that it was clearly a network issue they then denied it, After being on the phone for 5 minutes refusing to reprogram my phone they finally admitted that it is a network issue, and they have not been able to keep up with the new demand on their network.

I had the guy at VM reset my 3g network, which seems to make it ok for now. Of course, that alone took me like 30 minutes on the phone...

Also, big ups to bruce on this find. I downloaded a lot of the games from one of the other sites that are linked on here and some of them work awesome! Prison Tycoon, no Limit Casino, WSOP ... all work great.

I don't know if you guys seen it but some guy on youtube with a VM rumor touch has the icon shorcuts on the home screen like an iphone. Anybody know how do do this?

First thing I did was download the gmail app, and it is SOOO much better!

However, is there a way to have it notify me when I have an email? I hit "Notify me when there is new mail in my inbox." But so far, it has not let me know when I have received mail.

First of all, let me thank Bruce for opening a new world to us. Well, done !!!

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to find a QR Code (matrix code) reader that works with the Rumor Touch. Yes, life will go on without it, lol, but it would be nice to have that functionality.

What's the youtube link that you found this on?
Are you sure your not seeing the Hello UI with the little faces, and confusing them for app icons?
Or seeing the Opera Mini site with the icon links?

I just tried out gcal on my phone and it works. Its a Unofficial Google Calendar client that has your calendar appointments listed by day and lets you add new appointments. Syncing is done as you go so it can be a little slow but the interface is slick and works well in landscape with the keyboard/touch. Make sure you check that appointments for the next day are not listed on current day, I fixed this by selecting to use google's server time in the settings. Also the maps part is not working, the map is so tiny I can't see it.

Well worth it if you use Google Calenders, At least if you crash or lose your phone your meetings can still be accessed online.

I have found a torrent download that has tons of games and 90% of them work, and you can tell they have been modded to work best with touchscreens like the rumor touch! heres the link http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4993..._for_lg_cookie. I have already put about 10 of these apps on my touch and they work great!

Someone a few pages said something about LG apps, and i was wondering if anyone can test these LG apps out.. I download a couple but can not get a JAD file for some reason..anyone care to try?
