Thanks so much, @split_lip !!!
Mgmaps worked for me, just restart the phone. Make sure you are not forbidden by checking the built in web browser. GPS location works well!!! Google map data doesn't work but not a concern on the lg touch.
Download from here, and select stable and lg touchscreens

I've tested out evan-mp3-player. It has the same issue as lplayer where skipping songs causes volume to reset. If you can't get music try loading mp3s on the root of the card, also changing the phone volume outside the app restarts the song. Unless you have a really long mp3 or string a bunch of mp3s it is not ideal to run in the back ground
this youtube downloader works;
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yourtube/
i used the newest version (jad file too). the only format ive tried saving the videos as is 'good quality mp4'. but they work fine when saved to the memory card and then played through the file manager.
*edit- it looks like some videos work as mp4, but others need to be saved as 3gp

trapster works. i tried using the files from getjar and it didnt work, but the files i got directly from trapster.com worked.
http://trapster.com/tmvr/u/tm.jad
http://trapster.com/tmvr/u/tm.jar
i also tried zipping and uploading these files to that rumortouchapps site somebody posted, but it was over the size limit.
Trapster not working at all, was running till gps location was aquired, then went to hello screen. Tried starting it again but keeps crashing phone. Nothing in background
Trapster semi works for me. It was taking too long for the GPS to track my spot by it's self so I manually typed in a street address near my house. After that it showed all the locations where police traps were but the only problem is theres no map in the background. It just shows police trap icons on a white background. The white background is supposed to be a map of my area...
Edit - After closing and opening Trapster again the background map started loading.. Everything works fine now but the loading of the map when moving it around is slower than google maps...
Seems like there is compatibility issues between the same phone, I am getting evan-mp3-player to play a song but others have reported not being able to add any songs. Trapster crashed for me but it could be gps related, try to use the feature, just don't expect it to run again afterwards.
Hey guys, there is this site for java games for the Samsung Behold. I'd like you guys to download a few and test them out on the Rumor Touch. I think they have been modified to use full screen+touch features. Let me know if they work:
http://samsung-behold.servegame.com/behold/games.php
PS: DL them via your PC. Click on the name/icon. Then click on download button. After that you will get 2 links for the jar/jad files. DL to PC and transfer them to your miniSD card.
(This site was meant to be access by mobile browser of the Behold and install directly; funny since the Behold had the opposite issue as the Rumor Touch such as you can install apps via browser but not via SDcard)
Thanks for posting that. I downloaded your link and it installs and runs ok on my Rumor Touch, though it is pretty sluggish to download maps. It reads my gps location just fine. Took forever to register but it's all good now and working. Almost everything I tried on GetJar looked fairly crude, but Trapster looks very nice. Anyway, I can report that I have it installed and working. I plan to go for a drive later to see what it does as I approach some red light cameras a few blocks from here.
I'm glad you posted the exact links to the jar and jad file. I tried going to the Trapster site myself and they list a bunch of different phones, not ours of course, and I wouldn't have known which one to download.
Bruce.
Full touch screen games work!
Risk, assassins creed 2 , Gt Racing and 12 pack casino work great. Thanks for a great link.
NICE WORK ON THE BEHOLD FIND!!!! Testing now!
