Is there a way to make google maps 3.0.2 scroll the map when you move off the current screen? if it did that, I would use google maps exclusively.

I've been lurking here for a while but want to thank Bruce Chastain for opening a new world to us. You da' man, Bruce !

Does anyone know if I can listen to music from any of the players on this phone while connected with bluetooth headphones? The wires are getting in the way at the gym . . .
Just click the little blue button to find your location and it'll lock on. Just don't forget to turn it off if you put your phone away, or it'll really eat up your battery.
I just found a much better resistor calculator. See attached.
(I only do SMD, but every now and then I need to figure out these old-fashioned resistors)
It should. But not if you've moved the map somewhere else. You FIRST need to tell it to lock onto your location.
I read this from another thread and it works: http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...ht=rumor+touch
"MP3 Ringtones on Rumor Touch figured out!
Finally got it figured out after many trials, it is possible but not drag and drop.
Take your MP3 and trim it down to around 30sec and save it at 96kbps (you might be able to go higher but this worked and sounded good so test away!)
Replace the .mp3 extension with .qcp (apparently that's the format they use) and email it to your phone (phone#@vmpix.com), wait for it to arrive and then open the email, click the 'more' button then 'view attachment'.
You should see the file you sent, now touch the '>' and choose 'set as ringer', you could also save it but it gives it a new filename like 'audio898964'
It's almost 1AM my time so if this isn't making any sense let me know
Happy ringtoning!"
I think all I did was trim the mp3, copy the mp3 to my sd card (say ringtone folder) file amnager to that file, clicked on something like options or more, it gave an option to set as a ringtone and if I recall options to set to all named/unnamed calls or individuals. But this was a few days ago, and honsestly no one calls me so I can't say 100% sure it worked.
LG Optimus V
is it just my phone or is anyone experenceing not getting texts at all and extremely slow internet? And when i call virgin mobile i just get a busy signal
It's not just you it's everybody. The system is having difficulties. Text and data affected not voice.

I can get plain text txts fine but the @vmpix.com address rarely works at all for me. TO do the ringtone thing, I copied the MP3 to the DCIM folder on my SD card and renamed it to a .3g2, then found it with the file browser and assigned it. This worked much faster and more reliably than waiting for the @vmpix.com and associated addresses to work.
On a side note, there's like 4 text message addresses with Virgin. They just need to simplify man, way to complicated.
ok so i have a website https://sites.google.com/site/vmtouchapps/ and im going to make a .com domain i was thinking to make it vmtouchapps.com what do you guys think?

The bad part of doing it that way is it messes up your caller ID pictures, instead you get a black square. I use 'Atube Catcher', a free program, and use the convert function, set it for aa small 3gp video, drag the mp3 to it, and it converts it, but your caller id pics still work using these.
