Ahhh i did notice that last night. I have aTube Catcher a go and that worked well. As a bonus it also is able to produce vidz playable on the phone too although i think by default it uses too high of a kbps rate, it plays back a bit sluggish. I'll have to tinker with is some more.
Someone should pin a post that explains how to install Rumor Touch apps from the get-go, instead of having to wade through this much documentation. Someone else should make a list of which apps do/don't work, and issues with each.
I'd be happy to help, even though I no longer have a Touch :P Just hope it doesn't involve wading through all 59 pages here.
on the first page the first post it shows how to install apps, for working apps.... gotta wade through unless someone is kind enough to post a list or somethin![]()
I saw thatBut after that, there seems to be a lot of debate about how it works, and it's kinda hard to draw any logical conclusion from it...
Download them on a separate device! Download them via the phone! etc
well you generally would download the apps onto the computer and then transfer them to the microSD card. and from my experience the guide on the first page works, you just need to have both the .jad and .jar files in the APPS folder
Danatheteacher has several pages up on Hub Pages with step by step how to do it, as well as many related topics.
hey found this site with apps , ebooks , games and backgrounds that fit screen.

If you like to go geocaching, or want to get into it but do not have a GPS unit, There are a few apps you can use that will surprise you at how well and accurate they work.
The 1st is GPSed, and is primarily used for tracking trips and routes. But it will give you your position in coordinates and it is very accurate. I started using GPSed on my 1st geocache trip and was able to find every cache I set out to find. It will also show your position on a map which is very useful.
The 2nd is Amaze, and it's able to show your coordinates, on a map and with a compass. Its a bit slow but gets the job done and it shows what direction is north, west etc. which is a great bonus in geocaching, but its not as accurate as GPSed.
The 3rd is Locify, and I have been trying to find a use for this app since I 1st tried it. Its still in development but has some very good features. While it does show you your position on a map, the maps grid system needs further development and will get on your nerves. But it has the best accuracy by far, and with the compass feature, will show you just how accurate.
If anyone else has a GPS program that is just as good if not better, than feel free to let me/us know and I will test it out and give some feedback. And please feel free to do the same. Thanks!
Yeah I thought the Locify has a really nice interface, but I still haven't figured out how it works.
For anyone using We Travel, I figured out how to set the root directory to put your maps in. I used the file manager to create a folder on the microSD card named WeTravel, then in the We Travel app went to Settings --> Advanced --> Files --> Memory Card --> WeTravel --> menu --> set We Travel root
I'm still trying to get the map I want downloaded, but on the Wiki section of their site there is a section on Directory Structure which explains about the Map and Maps folders.
So did you make a sub directory called 'map' and another one called 'maps'? If you could share a screen shot that would be great! I have tried a few different things, but the program (ver 0.02.X) just doesn't seem to see the map data. What version are you running. I tried to get 0.09.X to run but it wouldn't load.
