Wooow.. I'm not EVEN going to try to catch up with all that stuff! lol If it was REALLY important, and you need an answer, kindly ask again (my bad)! Let's see what bits I can recall..
tcross - just confirming, they're dumber than a bunch of stumps.
nowurtalkin - glad I was able to help! I do think you understand the SD card thing correctly now. Poop!! All that guy gave was a bunch of methods of doing the ##VIRGIN# method. All that does is reconfigured your virgin mobile services. Thanks for posting it anyway! Also, you're mysterious folders popping up may be related to applets you have installed in your phone, which need to write data to the SD card, for whatever reason. Windows is SUPPOSED to know better than to create the 'Recycled' folder on your SD card. Just delete the whole thing when you see it.
fofopuka - There may be a 3rd party screen locker that will do what you want. Think I saw one on GetJar, but it was lame. I would THINK that there must be one somewhere, that will run in the background and pop-up after 'X' amount of time of the phone being used, then you could just turn off the native one.

Just a band-aid fix until someone hacks the native one.
Judge Holden - You CAN edit the jad files manually. I believe Notepad++ works on the mac, if I recall correctly. If you're lucky, look for a java / jad syntax file for it (will give you nice highlighting

). All the jad builder programs do is pull the data out of the config file inside the jar. the jar itself is REALLY just a zip file, you can unzip it with any old unzip program, then find the config file, and build the jad yourself. be sure the name of the jad file is identical to the jar file. Good luck!
vuuv - I'm using Lplayer and Evans myself. A hint, one of them I had to go digging and find the japanese site where they make it to download an updated version that wasn't buggy. Of course, then I had to fumble through the menus to get it back into English, but I'm happy with it.

Keep digging till you find good versions of both.
