Got a code for a brand new Desire (yesterday) from cellunlock.net. Other unlockers said it was going to take days+ to get a code for my IMEI but cellunlock had it within hours. A+++.
Can't exhaustively test it right now, but the HTC Desire seems to work well on Fido voice/data.
wow, mobilexpresscanada is really jacking up the unlock price, pretty sure it was $24 earlier now it is $32. They must know they are the only onces who have been able to unlock the newer desires.
Has anyone tried calling Telus and just asking for the unlock code? I know AT&T gives out the unlock code if you ask for it. Once I called them and told them I am leaving the country for a while on business and need to unlock my phone for use in the Caribbean, they got me the code over the phone.
For S4its-and-giggles, i actually emailed Telus about getting the unlock code from them since i paid cash for the phone, they said there is no way they'd ever do that. Not sure what they would say about going on vacation, probably just to upsell you on some international plan that they have
Those who have updated to Froyo, is that a stock Froyo with Sense or are you giving up Sense UI?
I have a Telus HTC Desire that I love. I paid for and recieved an unlocking code. As most people have mentioned, it asks for the code twice. I looked successful.
However, when I tried to use the phone with my AT&T sim card I can only make emergency calls... anyone else have that problem? What sim cards were you successful with? Both Canada and US...
