With Boost, the account number is your phone number.

To the OP if you are trying to port out just save yourself a world of headaches and call care and get your account number. When you do provide your new carrier with your previous carrier info make sure you provide the correct account number and your account pin (Not your voicemail pin) and you will have no problems at all.
The only other carrier I've had to use the phone number as an account number is with Pageplus or T-Mobile Prepaid.

For porting out, yes there is a 9 digit account number required from the company requesting the port. That is all it is used for as far as I know.
The OP never said their specific use for an account number and generally when Boost refers to an account number it means their Boost Phone Number.

Yep, if your porting your # out you have to call. Other than that there is no need to have your account number. Just saying.

Try calling your cell and listen for it's ring. If you know you've lost it elsewhere, then call boost and tell them your situation, they may bypass asking for your pin if you can verify certain info. But you will have to call your cell, or customer care.

If you have lost your phone and don't know the PIN, you must know the month and year of when the account was first activated. They will then let you change the PIN.
