Hi
My PC, Window XP with service pack 3 does not recognize the Samsung Galaxy S via USB connection. The error massage shows that USB device not recognized.
Any idea why and how to solve it?
The same USB port recognizes Blackberry storm without any problem.

I had the same issue -- you don't need to download anything. The problem lies in how the USB settings are configured. On your Vibrant, go into "Settings" --> "About Phone" --> "USB Settings" --> and then set it for either "Mass Storage" or "Ask on Connection."
This should allow your computer to recognize your Vibrant and allow you to access it.
I know, I know. Who the heck puts "USB Settings" in "About Phone?"
NOTE: "Mass Storage" will allow your Vibrant to always be recognized as another drive by your PC. "Ask on Connection" will always give you the option of choosing how to connect to your PC (including "Mass Storage").
whats the difference between "mass storage" and "samsung kies"?
The "Mass Storage" option simply allows your PC to recognize the Vibrant as a drive (i.e. an external drive). So, you can access all the folders, transfer files, etc.
"Samsung Kies" appears to be an app management utility for your PC.

Thanks for the tips. Changing usb setting definitely solved the problem.
