Dumbphone plan on German HTC Magic?

Hey everyone,

I've seen many mixed/not very current answers to this question so I figured I'd just ask it here:

I have a Vodafone branded, unlocked, German HTC Magic (same as Mytouch3g) and I was wondering if anybody could confirm if the dumbphone web plan would work on this phone or not. Thanks!

Sorry I don't have the answer but I would be very curious to find out if you've found the solution. Does that phone work on T-M's 3G, btw?

Yes it will work with any data plan. web2go or tzones will work! It's not sold by T-mobile so they do not have the IMEI to identify your phone and force an Android data plan! you are safe

Shirleeey. I'm not exactly sure... the hardware on the German Magic is identical to the Mytouch 3g I think. So maybe yes? I'll be sure to report back when I get a chance to test it out.
